We hope IBM will also create a system configuration guide for us.

This time, I selected the TS4300 for convenience.
My request applies to all storage hardware products.

In Japan, computer equipment manufacturers create guides called "System Configuration Guides."

These documents explain what is required to connect servers and storage to end users, employees at manufacturers' Japanese subsidiaries, and configuration specialists at partner companies like ours who sell server and storage products. This allows them to select the correct parts and make sales.

Attached are Japanese guides from other manufacturers, as well as machine-translated English versions of those guides.
We have included samples from Lenovo and HPE.
Similar documents exist at other companies and are widely available to the public.
However, IBM Storage does not have such a document.

When we make such a request, we expect to be told that an SSIC already exists; however, it doesn't cover cables or connectors.
Furthermore, the lack of such documentation makes it difficult to confirm which connection path should be considered primary when implementing redundancy, leading to more SCORE requests.

My colleagues and I sincerely hope that similar documentation will be created for IBM products and made publicly available worldwide.

We understand that creating these guides can be troublesome for you when parts need to be swapped or prices revised. However, we frequently hear requests from customers for official configuration guides created by the manufacturer.

Thank you for your cooperation.
