In reference to TS018533380...This is for a TS4300 (3555) Library....Since the tape library / drives can capture and log the environmental operating conditions (i,e - temp and humidity) ;  I would like the tape library to post an event into the logs when the conditions breach the acceptable operating conditions. Having this data viewable and posted as an alert / event would have allowed us to be aware of a deteriorating condition within the tape lib/drives that we were not aware of. We would also like to be able to trigger an email based on these alerts... We were only made aware of the problem after IBM tape support saw something in some logs we sent them for yet another tape drive we had to replace...After providing additional logs for 3 tape drives, they confirmed that the operating temp for the drives were way outside the acceptable range. Having this data visible to a customer, especially when the tape lib is remote, would be very beneficial to heading off the issues we have been having here lately.

    Hi Rich, Event Code 4006 was not reported?  (Reference: https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/ts4300-tape-library?topic=codes-warning-events)

    This environmental information should be displayed in the GUI and also be queried via the REST API.
