On-prem Storage Insights

Last week, I met with a PSU BFSI client and presented IBM Storage Insights (SaaS).

We requested them to integrate their storage systems with the Storage Insights SaaS offering. We conducted a detailed technical discussion and whiteboarding session covering the security architecture, including:

  • Secured tenant
  • Call Home mechanism
  • Data Collector deployment model
  • Data in transit security
  • Data at rest encryption and isolation

However, due to their internal security and compliance policies, the client expressed concerns about adopting a SaaS-based monitoring platform.

They acknowledged that IBM Storage Insights would be highly beneficial for proactive monitoring, analytics, and lifecycle management, but they prefer an on-premises deployment model aligned with their regulatory and compliance requirements.

It would be good if we have on-prem version of Storage Insights.

    This would be of great help to BFSI / Defence Customers by getting SI benefits on-prem.
