Storage Insights Global Mirror Average RPO Metric Request

It would provide great value if Storage Insights could capture Consistency Group detail in the “Copy Data” section from the hardware and use that data to provide an Average RPO value by SYSPLEX or Consistency Group.  Further, having the ability to report that RPO in the dashboard to provide a global view allowing us to quickly monitor RPO across all SYSPLEX environments that utilize Global Mirror.   We would like RPO data to be available to us in shorter intervals than the current 5-minute performance interval collection, perhaps 2–3-minute interval data.

Historical View:

Storing this data for a historical view would allow us to trend RPO over time, probably no more than a 12-month view would be required and possibly less.

Reporting View:

Being able to capture and report the RPO detail as an option in the performance metrics or any other location that would allow a global reporting view of the overall SYSPLEX environments would be required to achieve the goal.

Shared Hardware:

Important to note, we current share storage hardware, DS8A00, for many of our SYSPLEX environments.  Being able to utilize the functions in the “Copy Data” is just an example but we need to be able to report the RPO at the Consistency Group level.
