Support request for Tx and Rx power metrics on SAN switches to monitor possibly faulty SFP transceivers

One of my customers wants to monitor the SFP transceivers' power levels, both transmit and receive, on their SAN switches, because they have had link failure issues caused by faulty transceivers in the past. I know it is hard to diagnose those issues.
Because we happen to support these metrics for IBM Storage FlashSystem products as shown in Table 23 "Power metrics for FC Ports" included in here: https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/storage-insights?topic=metrics-performance-resources-that-run-storage-virtualize#tpch_r_metrics_svc.dita__port_power_metric , please provide support the Tx and Rx power metrics on SAN switches. I believe both Fabric OS (FOS) on Broadcom/Brocade SAN switches, as well as NX-OX on Cisco SAN Switches, provide relevant information to be monitored.

A reference to the discussion in the internal Slack channel #insights-help: https://ibm-systems-storage.slack.com/archives/CAAU6D9U7/p1757632029830559?thread_ts=1757572359.698619&cid=CAAU6D9U7

If prioritization is required, please deliver the functionality on Cisco switches first, then Broadcom/Brocade switches later.
