This portal is to open public enhancement requests against IBM System Storage products. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

Hello Michael, let me explain my comment a little more.
Today, Spectrum Virtualize does not share the freeze time in a format suitable for the consumption of Storage Insights. Although this available within Spectrum Virtualize, it's not something Storage Insights can alert on, as you're requesting.
The Spectrum Virtualize team have been working on new asynchronous replication technology to replace Global Mirror, making that available in 3Q 2022. This technology will self govern based on the bandwidth and move from Global Mirror like behaviour to Global Mirror with Change Volume like behaviour depending on the available bandwidth/resource, removing the need for the user to manage this automatically whilst retaining host responsiveness. This new technology, called Policy Based Replication is the future direction of the Spectrum Virtualize products and at the moment we're working to add support for that into Storage Insights.
Moving forward both products wil be investing in the new technology. From a Storage Insights perspective this is about getting support for what's available at the moment, along with improvements that the Spectrum Virtualize team are planning through 2024. There are no plans to enhance the older Global Mirror or Remote Copy technology, including the changes you're asking for. We will of course be supporting the existing technology in terms of any required security updates and bug fixes.
I hope this helps, let me know if you'd like more discussion on this and we can discuss on a call with my Spectrum Virtualize peer.
Thank you for this suggestion, as you point out, it's similar to SSI-I-46. We've not addressed this issue because Spectrum Virtualize does not share the freeze time information in a real time manner that would allow us to alert on.
The Spectrum Virtualize team are working on improving the replication technology and released Policy Based Replication in 3Q22. This dynamically manages the async relationship based on bandwidth. Storage Insights is working to support Policy Based Replication, with no plans from either team to go back and add enhancements to the older replication technology.
