Status Is a defect

a software reset of the library should not invalidate the status of the tapes in the IOstation

While after a powercycle of the library or opening the backdoor and removing and reinserting the IOstation, it is correct to rescan the IO station and consider all tapes to be imported, this should not be the case, when the library is instructed to do a reset via the web gui. Tapes marked for export in the IO station should still be marked like that after the reset.

Thanks for submitting this idea, the development team has evaluated this requirement and determined that it is a defect as this is not the intended behavior. The problem has been recreated using the "Restart Library" option on the GUI and will be fixed in a future firmware release. The problem can be worked around (exports preserved)"by restarting only the LCC node card rather than the entire library (or using the power cycle).
