FCM4Unix: Oracle ASM on Linux - ASM Disks on Disk Partitions

FCM should support ASM Disks on disk partitions.

The Preinstallation Checklist states "For Oracle ASM diskgroups are created on entire disks. (Setups on disk partitions are not supported.)" FCM will not work with ASM Disks on disk partitons (otherwise it will fail with the strange error FMM0840E)

Oracle recommends the usage of disk partitions because ease of use and fault tolerance during usage.
