Support for Oracle DB on Windows

The feature we are requisting is full support for Oracle 10 and higher on Windows Server OS'es. We are right now using Oracle 10g on windows 2003 64bit and 11g on 2008 R2.
The feature should contain scheduling, management of Flashcopy versions and restore option incl. restore to alternative location.

    Due to processing by IBM, this request was reassigned to have the following updated attributes:

    Unfortunately, current directions are prioritized to focus on other areas and we will not be implementing a solution as requested in the next year or two. However, as an alternative, today customers can use the FCM custom application support with pre and post snapshot scripts to do the Oracle snapshot backup on Windows. For sample Oracle scripts, you can find them here: http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21568342. Also note that we do support Oracle 10 adn 11 on Linux. If after the next release of the product you would like us to reconsider our position for Windows, please submit a new request.

    Thank you for submitting this enhancement request, and please accept my apologies for the long time it took us to respond, it will be considered for a future release of Flashcopy Manager, please note that this is not a commitment to deliver this function in a specific timeframe.
