We request that FCM functionality be enhanced to support nested mount points that are stored on more than one volume group. There is no indication in the FCM error message to indicate why this functionality is not in FCM. The error message simply indicates that it is not supported.

Specifically, this is the error message to which we are referring:

FMM6967E
The directory has nested mount points that are stored on more than one volume group. This is currently not supported.

Explanation
The application sent a request to recursively backup all data stored beneath <directory>. IBM® Tivoli® Storage FlashCopy® Manager cannot fulfill this backup request because the data stored in this directory path resides on file systems that are stored on multiple volume groups. This is currently not supported.

    We now support this in FCM 4.1; the ENHANCED_PARTITIONING option is documented in the FCM 4.1 documentation.
