Oracle Database Cloning improvements in FCM

Two enhancements are requested.

1) Currently FCM requires environment variable ORACLE_HOME to be set in the users environment right after logon. We request that FCM should read this value from /etc/oratab so that we can have a single user for multiple Oracle instances.

2) When the user includes additional file systems (besides the DB files) in a cloning operation, FCM fails if one of these file system has links that point to a file system on a different volume group which is not part of the flashcopy. We request that FCM provides the option to just skip those file systems on a different volume group and complete the cloning operation.

Due to processing by IBM, this request was reassigned to have the following updated attributes:
Brand - Servers and Systems Software
    Product family - Storage
Product - Tivoli Storage FlashCopy Manager

For recording keeping, the previous attributes were:
    Brand - Tivoli
    Product family - Storage
Product - Tivoli Storage FlashCopy Manager

Two enhancements are actually required here; part of the following is planned already, other is for the future as "uncommitted candidate"

Currently FCM requires environment variable ORACLE_HOME to be set in the users environment right after logon. We request that FCM should read this value from /etc/oratab so that we can have a single user for multiple Oracle instances.

This part is a reasonable request and we should do this (we have had a work item for this for some time but it did not make the cut for 4.1)  but we need to plan this as a work item for a future release as it is not small enough to handle during the defect fix phase of the next FCM release

When the user includes additional file systems (besides the DB files) in a cloning operation, FCM fails if one of these file system has links that point to a file system on a different volume group which is not part of the flashcopy.    We request that FCM provides the option to just skip those file systems on a different volume group and complete the cloning operation.

This part should be classified as "Planned for Future Release"  and we will plan to address it in the defect fix phase of the 4.1 release.

The first issue is also proposed in the RFE 22651 (http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/rfe/execute?use_case=viewRfe&CR_ID=22651)
