LVM mirror support within a single storage system, also without backup server.

We have a clustered pair of V7000 Gen3's which I would like to use with SPS for DB2 database snapshots. SPS does not currently support either hyperswap volumes, or LVM mirroring of two volumes on the same storage system (copies of which would reside on different enclosures of the system/cluster in this case).
- I also submitted a request for Hyperswap support, but at this point, LVM mirroring support within a single storage system may be preferrable. Along with mirror support within a single storage cluster, LVM mirroring support without a backup server would essentially be a requirement to adoption in my case. SPS worked great without a backup server in a non-LVM mirrored volume config, but needing to create an entire partition with a DB2 install as a backup server just to enable LVM mirroring support is a relatively high barrier to adoption if there are no other needs for it.

IBM has evaluated the request, and has determined that it can not be implemented at this time or does not align with the current multi-year strategy.

IBM expects this to be addressed through Spectrum Protect Plus in the future.
