Spectrum Protect Snapshot (FCM) support for DB2 PureScale (restore deprecated support)

This request is to restore support for DB2 PureScale snapshots in Spectrum Protect Snapshot for DB2 V8.1 onward. The client has a need to utilize fully supported Spectrum Protect (formerly FCM) snapshots for HA/DR in a supported DB2 PureScale environment.

    IBM has evaluated the request, and has determined that it can not be implemented at this time or does not align with the current multi-year strategy. This request may be resubmitted for consideration after 18 months from the date of submission. The request submitter will automatically be notified by email when the request qualifies for reconsideration and resubmission.

    There is a 2nd client (Applied Materials) planning to deploy a near identical environment, and has requested the same re-reinstatement of support. 3M and Applied Materials would be fantastic industry leaders to champion this solution with all IBM clients world wide.
