TSM Script variable assignment and flow control

Script flow control and variable use within TSM scripts is rudimentary, at best. Better flow control and the ability to use local variables would help creating useful and portable admin scripts.

    Thank you for submitting this request. We are looking at other avenues where we would enable more scripting convenience that would be portable but presently the requirement as suggested isn't something we are investing in during the next couple of years. Some scripting languages such as Perl which are portable across operating systems might be another alternative to leverage.
