Due to processing by IBM, this request was reassigned to have the following updated attributes:
Brand - Servers and Systems Software
    Product family - Storage

For recording keeping, the previous attributes were:

this feature is urgently required in a huge environment of a german car manufacturer - we're currently investigating alternative software solutions as >2 TB VMDKs are available for almost 2 years and only TSM backup has still issues with this size.

I am surprised that TSM are so far behind the ball on backing up VMDK's over 2TB as the ability to create larger drives has existing for over 18 months.

This is a real issue for us.

Is there an opportunity to increase this limit to say 8TB rather than the full 64TB in the short term as this would resolve our current issues.

This request may not be delivered within the release currently under development, but the theme is aligned with the current multi-year strategy. IBM may consider and evaluate any RFE Community feedback for this request through activities such as voting. IBM will update this request in the future.
