When using dedup, occupancy tables show wrong information

When using dedup, occupancy tables shows less space being used, than what is actually being used. This is described here:
http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21614080
"Occupancy size discrepancy with deduplication"
This poses a big problem for us, and it is important to us, that this is fixed.
We use occupancy table data, as basis for reporting, and it is not showing the correct numbers, leading to storage needed, being greater than what is reported. We would like the occupancy table to report the correct numbers.

Due to processing by IBM, this request was reassigned to have the following updated attributes:
Brand - Servers and Systems Software
    Product family - Storage
Product - Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM) Family

For recording keeping, the previous attributes were:
    Brand - Tivoli
    Product family - Storage
Product - Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM) Family

Thank you for your request. This has been addressed in APAR IC90010 ( http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg1IC90010 ) which was delivered in 7.1. There is also a work-around available noted in the "Local Fix" section the APAR documentation which will allow you to obtain more accurate deduplication ratios. After upgrading to 7.1, occupancy values will not show immediate resolution but will self-heal over time or the REPAIR OCCUPANCY utility can correct nodes immediately. Consult the following technote for more details on the utility. http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21579500
