Add ability to retain active data in a normal storage pool

I propose that an additional paramater MIGACTIVEDATA is added as a storage pool parameter.      This parameter could be used to stop the migraion of active data from the initial staging pool and will eliminate the need for an additional data pool to store active data. It will also eliminate the jobs and I/O overhead required to copy the data to these additional active data pools.

At present, retaining active data on a media type requires the creation of a dedicated storage pool.    This means that a backup has to be taken to a storage pool,    then copied into the active data pool, consuming additional storage and I/O resources on the TSM server.

Due to processing by IBM, this request was reassigned to have the following updated attributes:
Brand - Servers and Systems Software
    Product family - Storage
Product - Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM) Family

For recording keeping, the previous attributes were:
    Brand - Tivoli
    Product family - Storage
Product - Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM) Family

Thank you for your request. We understand the request and see that it is valid and a good suggestion. Unfortunately, it does not align with present strategic directions or our present multi-year strategy. We will not be implementing this as a solution at this time.
