Migrate Inactive Data from StoragePools

Need the ability to migrate inactive data from storage pools. When large disk pools are used (typically with dedup) and these pools fill, there is no way to automatically migrate data in a selective manner. Using Age based migration rules results in static, active data that is the oldest getting pushed off when it would be more appropriate to migrate old, inactive data that is less likely to be restored.

    Thank you for your request. We understand the request and see that it is valid and a good suggestion which we have noted. Unfortunately at this time, we cannot implement an enhancement to address your recommendations in a release in the next year or two. If, after our next release of TSM, you would like this requirement to be re-considered, please resubmit the RFE.
