TSM4VE: restore a vm with multiple hard drive's to different datastore's using vcenter plugin or BA client.

We use TSM4VE to backup VM's to Data Domain, SAP/ORACLE is hosted on VMware.
We have RHEL VM's with multiple Hard drives(upto 30) on multiple datastores(raid 5, raid 1/0, dedicated datastores for data, logs, os). There is every chance that a VM is residing on 10 or more datastores. When a VM has to be restored to an alternate location on vcenter-plugin/ ba client, it gives a option to store VM on only one datastore. This implies that a VM of size 2TB, it has to be restored on a datastore which is more than 2TB (1TB is our standard) and after restoring a VM it has to be storage vmotion'ed to spread the disks among multiple datastores (specially the logs which are raid 1/0).

We would like to see an enhancement to vcenter-plugin or some interface, which gives an ability to customize a VM before restoring:
- Choosing a datastore for each hard drive to restore (Highly Important).
- Adding hard drives before restore.
- Adding/removing NIC's before restore.
- Options to power on/off VM after restore.

Thank you for submitting this request. We understand the requirement and acknowledge that it's a very reasonable request. We have taken note of this to track internally. Unfortunately at this time we will not be able to implement a solution in the next year or two. If, after the next release of IBM Tivoli Storage Manager, you would like us to reconsider this request, please resubmit the RFE. As an alternative in the meantime, you might want to consider looking into our FlashCopy Manager for VMware solution which allows for datastore snapshot and instant recovery in our latest release of FCM 4.1. We sincerely appreciate feedback and support in moving our products forward.
