Ability to have -vmfolder include sub-folders

In a large organisation, vmware and tsm will have different people administering them. The ability to include sub-folders would allow more flexibility.

This was rejected more than two years ago. RFEs typically get rejected if they cannot be implemented in < 2 years.

The good news is that this something we plan to address in an upcoming release. You will be able to assign a tag to a folder and it will apply to all VMs in all subfolders.

Why did IBM decline this request? IBM should have accepted it.
    Refer to my PMR 79801,442,000:
    Problem title
    Nested Vmfolders
    .
    Problem description and business impact
I was thinking of using VMFOLDER to select VMs. While trying to figure
out the syntax for specifying a nested folder, the link (http://www-01.
    ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21432938) was brought to my
    attention. Consider these two folders:
    1. vc-un1.unch.unc.edu/UNCHCS/Non Production/Sentry
    2. vc-un1.unch.unc.edu/UNCHCS/Production/Sentry
How do I specify folder 2 and not folder 1?

Due to processing by IBM, this request was reassigned to have the following updated attributes:
Brand - Servers and Systems Software
    Product family - Storage
Product - Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM) Family

For recording keeping, the previous attributes were:
    Brand - Tivoli
    Product family - Storage
Product - Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM) Family

Thank you for submitting this request. We understand the requirement and presently do not have plans to implement a solution as suggested and hence at t this time we cannot commit to delivery of this enhancement in the next release or two. We are looking at alternative solutions that may address the use case and pain point. If, after our next release of TSM, you would like this requirement to be re-considered, please resubmit the RFE. Thank you for your commitment to TSM and for your support in moving the product forward.

Backup VM's by folder AND sub-folder

TSM for VE has the ability to target folders in the VSphere environment, but it doesn't parse any sub-folders. This is highly limiting as each individual sub-folder must be specified in the schedule definition. It also introduces scenarios when VM...
