Cross platform migration (Solaris/AIX to linux)

X platform migration from Solaris/AIX to linux Primarily looking at being able to go from Unix/Linux to another Unix/Linux platform initially at the TSM 6.x version. There is also interested in migrating from Windows to Linux.
Migrations would be easier and we have more flexibility when going from TSM V5 to TSM V6 as all the data in the DB is inserted into a new DB2 data base when we do a migration from V5 to V6. To begin the migration all data would have to be flushed to tape first. In discussions, the customer indicated that they would like to be able to go from several V5 TSM servers to one new V6 TSM server.
However the platform priority is Solaris, then AIX and Dev have said that multiple server merge and MS-Windows are not currently under consideration.

    Per discussion with Barclays,  various migration scenarios are included as part of 2013 plan.  However to be clear, the merge of servers and Windows are not in our plans
