TSM reporting problem.

As I described in 02641,EUB,649, please modify the DB2 database design to allow us to able to use the real ‘Start Date' and and ‘End Date' instaed of '00:00:00' in the table of 'Node Activity' on the TSM admin center DB2 database.

I was told this is working as designed. This is a total of all of the backups, archives, retrieves, and restores for a given node for that day. This was due to the limitation of TSM for not allowing your queries to distinguish one backup from another if a node performed two or more backups in a given day. Your develors could not distinguish a spawned off backup versus a new backup. So it was code to only capture all of the activities for a given day and not specify them one at a time. That is why we see the time field like that 00-00-00.000.

However this design is not acceptable for us because we need to record the real ‘Start Date' and and ‘End Date' of each activity of every node.
It's useless to see the '00-00-00.000' as the activity time, which impact our TSM backup/archive activity monitoring and reporting in the production environment.

So please modify the design ASAP so we can capture the real node activity start and end time.

Due to processing by IBM, this request was reassigned to have the following updated attributes:
Brand - Servers and Systems Software
    Product family - Storage
Product - Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM) Family

For recording keeping, the previous attributes were:
    Brand - Tivoli
    Product family - Storage
Product - Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM) Family
