Support standards for browser interoperability

As per requirements listed at http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?
uid=swg21515628

TSM Admin Center requires an obsolete, broken, unsupported brain dead
version of Firefox. According to the requirements, version 3.5 is
required for full function, released years ago (June 2009). It is not
possible to download this version any more. It isn't possible to run
this version 3.6 any more either, it automatically upgrades to the
latest version when run.

The requirements say that RHEL6 is supported. Not true, RHEL6 comes
with Firefox 10.0.5. The requirements also say that RHEL5 is supported.
Not true, RHEL5 also comes with Firefox 10.0.5. The current version of
Firefox is 13.0.1 - the version I get when version 3.6 is automatically
upgraded.

Same applies with Internet Explorer 8.0. All my available Windows
computers automatically upgraded to Internet Explorer 9.0.

Google Chrome doesn't even appear to be supported.

I can provide more details on the stuff that break with the latest
browsers on request.

Also see RFE 17574.

TSM Admin Centre should be standards compliant with HTML4 or HTML5 and JavaScript. If done correctly it will work with every browser on the market.

Due to processing by IBM, this request was reassigned to have the following updated attributes:
Brand - Servers and Systems Software
    Product family - Storage
Product - Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM) Family

For recording keeping, the previous attributes were:
    Brand - Tivoli
    Product family - Storage
Product - Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM) Family

Thank you for submitting the request. The next generation GUI under development will have various browser interoperability handled by using web 2.0 based technology, and is expected to be available.IBM’s plans may change and no commitment is made that a solution will be provided.
