AIX Client install move the Client Acceptor Daemon (dsmcad) from Web Client package to the base package.

In our environment we don't use the Web Client, but we need the CAD to run the scheduler, moving this to the base package would mean one less package to install.

We noticed that dsmcad is required to run the webclient, but the webclient is not required to run the scheduler with dsmcad, so for example:

  1. The base version is installed.
  2. The webclient is installed and dsmcad is installed as part of the webclient package.
  3. The dsmcad is copied to a different directory.
  4. The webclient package is un-installed removing the dsmcad executable.
  5. The copied version of dsmcad is moved back to the install bin directory.
  6. The dsmcad now functions just as the scheduler.

With the dsmcad installed with the base package we could skip steps 2-6.

Option 2, in Linux Storage Protect Client packages all the Web Client files are installed as part of the base package; their is no Web Client package to install. In order to keep things consistent with Linux, wouldn't it make more sense to include the Web Client as part of the base package?
