This portal is to open public enhancement requests against IBM System Storage products. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

The client has an SP server mounted on a two-node AIX PowerHA cluster.
When there is a failover, the SP service reloads from Node 1 to Node 2.
The client backs up OCP (Openshift) with IBM Fusion Backup. To store the data, a Directory-type STGPool has been created on the SP that uses the S3 protocol as an Object Agent.
The data stored in the primary STGPool will be copied to another secondary pool to have a second full copy.
The client does not have a replica SP.
The idea has been to mount a replica SP on the same cluster where the SP is mounted and replicate only the primary pool that stores the OCP data.
This would mean leaving everything mounted on the same cluster, that is, the SP on Node 1 and the Replica SP on Node 2.
The SP on Node 1 must be able to continue to failover to Node 2 to maintain high availability at all times. A case was opened with Support (TS018015279), and Development attempted to replicate the client's environment to see if it was possible.
Development indicated that it seemed possible on Windows, but it doesn't seem to be supported on an AIX PowerHA cluster, and they've asked us to open this RFE (idea) to verify whether this is possible.
If it's not possible, please provide a solution for the client, keeping in mind that the client doesn't have a new physical server to mount another Replica SP.
