After further investigation into this request,unfortunately we will not be implementing a solution as suggested. RMAN is where the backup redrive must be originated. To our knowledge, there have not been any updates to this behavior in RMAN since this request was submitted. One suggestion would be to use a script to check for failed backups and redrive the process and this is something we have worked with other customers on how to do.

Thank you for submitting this request. This is a recognized requirement and a solution appears to be desirable. This request is not in the release plan currently under
development, but the theme is aligned with our multi-year strategy. IBM is soliciting RFE Community feedback for this request through activities such as voting.
