Improvement to the upgrading process of MGMT server

The upgrade process is apparently not perfect. I was "kicked" out from the upgrade progress page, before process completed and that can cause confusion?

The reason i was kicked out, was that the update components/package was updated ?

A suggestion for improvement is that the upgrading process on https://SPP-sever:8090/#/emi/productupdates can be changed :

  • My proposal is to present a short summary of the upgrade process after upgrade completes

  • Also have IBM's documentation explain how to investigate and read the dnf.log to verify and confirm the upgrade process ran successfully.

Please engage support for this use case, information is available in log files, they can help you get through it. Best practice is to have a snapshot ready before attempting an upgrade. IBM has evaluated the request, and has determined that it can not be implemented at this time. We will review this request and update it in the future or a new one may be submitted in 6 months.
