Timeout for Replication

We have seen a scenario where if we got a Network Issue between two IBM Storage Protect Servers and the replication failed on the Source machine the target machine doesn't timeout it session.

When we get in that stage we can't cancel any sessions on the target machine and the source machine has no reference of that replication process.

So we want to have a either a control sessions that ping from Target to Source and ask if this session, Process and/or job is still active, if not the target machine should kill does sessions so a new replication can start the next time it runs.

No when that happening do we need to restart the IBM Storage Protect Server sessions.

Or another idea to solve this issue is have multiple retries so if we got a network issue IBM Storage Protect Replication retry and continue where it failed.

Both ideas could be parameters in the Server Option so we can modify todays default value.
