Disable scan of files before archiving when using filelist

We have been archiving with file lists for over 20 years, so we know that the client archived differently and, above all, faster in earlier versions (5-7). If you specified a file list in these old versions, archiving started within a few seconds, regardless of how extensive the list was. If you used a file list with 2 million lines, the actual archiving was started just as quickly (less than 10 seconds) as if you used a file list with 100 lines. At some point during version 7, it was modified so that all files in a file list are "scanned" first before archiving is started. You can see this if you activate the trace file. As a result, it takes almost 90 minutes to start archiving a file list of 100,000 lines, for example. With a million lines, it will then take 15 hours before archiving is actually executed! It would really help us a lot if we could deactivate this previous scan with a flag in the option file, for example. All branches are now so annoyed by this delay in archiving that they are actively looking for an alternative to TSM, which I would like to avoid.
