Directory Container Erasure Coding

I have multiple smaller customers where we only have 1 Storage Protect server and are not using any tape to be able to run protect storage pool. 
This is little bit of a risk and also we put all our data in to one solution and if we get bad containers in our directory storage pool we are lossing data. 

We wish to be able to add erasure coding functionality to be able to protect our directory storage container and if we get a bad disk, there is a why to rebuild that internally instead of having extra hardware like tape and only use disk.

With erasure coding we should also get better restore performance from disk because we can then utilize multiple disks to restore more data.

    Have you considered a local file sytem erasure coding for storing a local SP storage pool OR use a PROTECT STGPOOL?
