IBM System Storage Ideas Portal

This portal is to open public enhancement requests against IBM System Storage products. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).

Shape the future of IBM!

Storage Rule Exclude Function

Today when you create a Storage Rule Replication you can either assign all nodes or exclude all nodes and then create a subrule and include/exclude specific nodes.

In our case do we have a 2 Sites solution where we replicate data between sites, that mean Site As all Primary Data go to Site B and Site Bs all primary data go to Site A.
In our case are we replicate ALL NODES to the other sites but that generates 100s of lines of excluding nodes that are in Replstate=Receive Mode and generate a lot of noice in logs that shouldn't be their or information that expect to be there.

Because of all this 100s of nodes that generate noice in the logs the development team couldn't case an bug we where looking for and it ended up after many ours investigation we could create a dedicated Storage Rule that only replicated the infected nodes of this bug.

So I suggest we should add a switch to automatically exclude all nodes that are in state Replstate=Recieve mode.
