Allow client migration from VSNAP to OSSM and back again

Currently to migrate a client from OSSM to Vsnap storage requires deleting ALL recovery points for that client. This is worse than migrating to a different backup vendor. I have NO backups for that client simply because I want to change my backend storage.

Force a full backup, or allow a full backup to the new storage device and then continue.

I currently have an OSSM backup running, and may want to migrate to Vsnap in the future when an external link becomes available (allowing offsite replication of the Vsnap server). However to migrate from OSSM to Vsnap will be VERY painful, and puts every client in a NON recoverable position for that day, AND makes all of the previous backups of that client impossible to recover as all of the client Recovery points must be deleted. This will need to be done on ALL clients (thousands).

It would be better to setup another SPP+ server, and migrate the clients to that, One backing up to OSSM, and the other backing up to VSNAP. This does take away from the single pane of glass concept of SPP+ though.

This request may not be delivered within the release currently under development, but the theme is aligned with the current multi-year strategy. IBM may consider and evaluate any RFE Community feedback for this request through activities such as voting. IBM will update this request in the future.
