Need ability to hold a VADP proxy idle, in reserve, to quickly run ad-hoc jobs (or expedite/prioritise job to head of queue).

We have SLAs that run snapshot backups of VMs, each night. These jobs queue hundreds of VMs to have snapshots taken, and it takes hours for these to complete.

Any adhoc snapshot or restore job that we launch during this backup window has to wait hours before it gets to the front of the queue to execute.

We urgently need the ability to hold just one small proxy in reserve, so it is available to immediately service small adhoc jobs that we may need to launch manually.

Two other possible solutions could also work:

1) if we could launch a job with added option to expedite, so it goes to the head of the queue and gets executed by the first VADP proxy to finish its current snapshot, then that also would work for us.

2) a priority system, so we could have our big jobs running nightly SLA backups of hundreds of VMs running with a low priority, and if we launch other adhoc jobs, we give them a higher priority so they go to head of queue for execution at earliest opportunity.

Colleagues have confirmed the old Spectrum Protect (not Plus) had a priority system, and, for example, could prioritise restore jobs ahead of backup jobs, so restores could be executed immediately. I'm not sure how flexible that was, but for SP Plus, we certainly want ability to prioritise both restores, and ad-hoc snapshot backups of a single VM, to get them executed ASAP - even when there are hundreds of other VM snapshot backups in the queue already.

We would need the ability to select the reserved proxy, expedite, or specify an elevated priority - to be accessible via REST api - as one of our use cases is taking snapshots immediately prior to OS patching, and we launch our snapshots from ansible job to Spectrum Protect Plus via REST api.
