This portal is to open public enhancement requests against IBM System Storage products. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

By default, dsmcad doesn't have any time out value.
Post Rapid Force NVA 6.6.128 upgrade, the connection of NVA Scan is not closing as expected. Post Scan of TSM Client on dynamic or dedicated dsmcad port, the connection stays as active, dsmcad service is sitting idle neither accepting new call from TSM server schedule or rejecting back the NVA Scan.
There is Sev 1 case (TS008634764) opened and had a very major impact, the only workaround was to restart dsmcad.

efix was provided for this, please reference TS008634764.
Did that address the concern or is there any other issue?
The team is reviewing and will look into the case (TS008634764).
A timeout would make sense.
Also, not opening the port if it isn't needed. With
MANAGEDServices schedule
there is no need for the dsmcad port to be open, but yet you have to addCadlistenonport no
as well to the configuration.
