This support is still not available on AIX and we do not have plans to support it in the near term.
Please review comment by Hunny Kershaw, this needs to be resubmitted as an RPQ for the hardware team, once this is supported by the atape driver TSM will support this device
Drive with inquiry string "IBM HH LTO Gen 5" is supported with xSeries only. This is not a limitation with TSM. To get this drive supported on AIX, the request needs to go to the IBM hardware team. They will need to request the Atape driver to support this drive as well. Once the hardware team agrees with this support and the ATape driver has support for this drive, the drive will work with TSM.
