ACL support for Spectrum Scale file systems

Spectrum Protect does fully support Spectrum Scale file
systems. If special attributes of files in this file systems are
modified like setting or changing ACLs, on the next backup run the
complete file will be backed up again, though only metadata which are
stored in the extended attributes are changed.

    This request may not be delivered within the release currently under development, but the theme is aligned with the current multi-year strategy. IBM may consider and evaluate any RFE Community feedback for this request through activities such as voting. IBM will update this request in the future.

    I remember also that Spectrum Protect does not keep track of previous ACL attributes too.
    So if you change the ACL, than this also affects all backup versions.
    This can be change by adding a TESTFLAG, so that each backup keeps its previous ACL attributes.
    Perhaps there is an attribute to also change this behaviour?

    There are also alternatives to HSM, where there is no need to keep stubs of files.
