Method for monitoring/alerting on performance of cache to S3 data movement

There is currently no method to monitor the migration of local cache storage to S3 object storage. There is therefore no easy way to know if data are being moved and if they are moving sufficiently quickly to be completed before the next backup.

It's proposed that some method be included into the OC to show that everything is working ok - that there is sufficient network bandwidth to move data before the next backup, that data are moving and that the s3 store is logged into.

This could be in the form of alerts for failure, a column in the "Storage pools" screen. Also some pre-canned SQL to run as a report on a daily/ad-hoc basis for more details would be welcome.

This request may not be delivered within the release currently under development, but the theme is aligned with the current multi-year strategy. IBM may consider and evaluate any RFE Community feedback for this request through activities such as voting. IBM will update this request in the future.
