IBM Spectrum Protect TDP for VE - restore procedure for one of the VMDK should allocate only the space of that VMDK

TDP for VE, restore one of multiple source hard disks of a VM.
The disk to restore is 50GB another disk of the source VM is 2TB, actually the product allows to restore the small (50GB) disk only after allocating the whole space that was used by the entire source VM (2050GB)
to work properly the restore procedure should permit to restore allocating only the needed 50GB instead of the whole source space on the datastores.
