Multiple COPY backup types for TDP for SQL

Currently there is one database backup type for daily backups (full/differential) and one for copy backups.

DBAs often require backups to be held for other retentions, and this currently can only be done by creating multiple TSM nodes.

Additionally, there is a requirement to be able to take a daily type backup with logs and keep the full part or this for a longer period.

1. Suggest that there be additional copy2, copy3, copy4 backup types, each of which can be configured for a different management class.
2. Suggest that the type= parameter on the backup be configurable, so for example, type=3month would map to the the copy2 management class, type=1year would map to the copy3 management class
3. Suggest that any kind of copy backup allow a /withlogs=yes parameter. This would permit normal backup cycle processing with logs to be kept for longer, and not require a daily backup to process logs and a second backup to keep for longer. The logs would go to the normal management class for logs. With big databases there is not time In the day for two legacy backups, and VSS backups have too many restrictions (e.g. must restore to same machine)

This request may not be delivered within the release currently under development, but the theme is aligned with the current multi-year strategy. IBM may consider and evaluate any RFE Community feedback for this request through activities such as voting. IBM will update this request in the future.

The final solution to the problem may not be implemented as described, but there are plans to address this requirement.
