RC=12 is not required for successful processing.

When the IBM Spectrum Protect backup/archive client detects that a self-signed digital certificate has expired, the expiration date is updated, but RC=12 is returned and "ANS1579E" is recorded.
The process is successful and I would like RC=0 to be returned.

Since IBM Spectrum Protect Backup-Archive Client 8.1.7 or 7.1.8.5, the Nodes/NODENAME/spclicert.kdb file has been introduced.

The spclicert.kdb file has an expiration date of one year. When the dsmc command is executed for the first time after the expiration date has passed, the expiration date is automatically extended by one year. At this time, the dsmc command returns RC=12, even though the dsmc command was successful. ANS1579E will also be recorded.

We use the dsmc command to run the daily backup process, and when the dsmc command returns RC=12, we know that the daily backup process itself has failed. And it happens every year. I think this is a problem for many users.

Is there any way to prevent the dsmc command from returning RC=12 when the expiration date has been successfully updated automatically?
