This portal is to open public enhancement requests against IBM System Storage products. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

Hi Team,
I have read the article and none of the advise option will successfully apply to the feature request.
https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/how-provide-high-availability-ibm-spectrum-protect-plus-server
Most organization will have multiple Vmware site manage by multiple Vcentre hence
This document provides guidance on running the IBM Spectrum Protect Plus server in the following configurations:
VMware vSphere High Availability (HA)
This only applies to a site on 1 cluster or in a metro setup. ( most to all clients would not have the required latency to setup metro ).
VMware vSphere Fault Tolerance (FT)
Fault tolerance is for scenario with same site and storage(s) in one location, which would not work if the second site is at another location manage by a second vcentre.
Microsoft failover clustering.
The appliance is a vmware ova so this is not work and for vmware customer. In any case they would face the same issue as the above comments.
What is needed is an independent HA for Spectrum Protect Plus appliance without the need for hypervisor features.
This would eliminate any dependence as it could be that the Vcentre appliance that is required to be restored before any virtual machine.
Scenario:
Vcentre appliance corrupts or fails.
That means HA, Faulty Tolerance will fail to provide HA for Spectrum Protect Plus.
