SPP does not report "Missed" backups

SPP does not report "Missed" backups.
If a backup is attempted and fails, this is reported in the job logs and can be reported on in the generate reports.
However, if a job does not run on schedule (e.g. SPP is down, job has been paused for maintenance and not resumed, vCenter is down and therefore inventory fails), in this case the VMs are not attempted to be backed up, so no failure is logged.
In these circumstances we are at risk, and the product is not making us aware of that risk.
Furthermore, as reported in previous RFEs, SPP has no alerting so doesn't actually alert customers to anything.
Unlike TSMforVE which has the consept of failed and missed backups.

This is really important; SPP must be able to alert when anomalities arise (missed backup, almost full storage, unreachable hosts (clients, vSnaps, etc.)).

I'm new to SPP so I might have missed if some infrastructural alerts do exist (out of storage, missing vSnaps).

This request may not be delivered within the release currently under development, but the theme is aligned with the current multi-year strategy. IBM may consider and evaluate any RFE Community feedback for this request through activities such as voting. IBM will update this request in the future.
