RELATED IDEAS

Management class visible for NDMP backups

When viewing files in the GUI restore window, a NDMP backup does not show the Management class.
In the attached screen shot you can see that the management class is not reported

    Due to processing by IBM, this request was reassigned to have the following updated attributes:
    Brand - Servers and Systems Software
    Product family - Storage
    Product - Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM) Family

    For recording keeping, the previous attributes were:
    Brand - Tivoli
    Product family - Storage
    Product - Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM) Family

    Thank you for your request and our apologies for the great delay in responding. Unfortunately, a change in this area does not fit within our current plans and priorities so we do not plan to address this issue in the near term. Thanks for your interest in helping us improve the product.

    The current suggested method from support is to
    Use the GUI to find the backup date
    open up the dsmadmc interface
    run a command like
    q nasbackup LAUREL /vol/la_jobdata begind=-90
    Then find the corresponding row for the backup date
    Then repeat for each file
