SPP 10.1.3 Exchange DAG Production Restore: User must put in name of .EDB file

If you select "Production Restore" you can restore to the original location on the original instance or a alternate location on the original instance.

If you are restoring to the original location on the original instance, you do not need to enter anything in the Destination Path fields.
If you are restoring to a alternate location on the original instance, you need to enter a new DB Name and Destination Paths.
Exchange agent does not programmatically determine a new name for the (basically copied) new database. The use case assumes the Exchange administrator wants to control the name of the databases on the server.
My understanding is overall we do try to keep consistency across the products when we can.

For this issue, I suggest we open a separate JIRA, where we can look at this behavior across all the application agents and make a decision there.

I can confirm that for SQL Restore you do not have to put in the name of the SQL DB file to complete the restore. We only require the path. This is an example of inconsistencies within the product which can cause confusion for customers and possibly support as it works differently for different supported applications.
