Had the request again yesterday that we should be able to send SNMP alerts. Currently the default alerts as we know are

    Job failed
Is displayed when a job fails.
    System disk space low
Is displayed when the amount of data consumed by the catalog on an IBM Spectrum Protect Plus data disk exceeds the assigned 5% threshold.
    vSnap storage space low
Is displayed when the amount of free disk space on a vSnap server is less than 5%.
    System memory low
Is displayed when the amount of memory available to run IBM Spectrum Protect Plus is less than 5%.
    System CPU usage high
Is displayed when IBM Spectrum Protect Plus processor usage exceeds the assigned 5% threshold.

What customers want to see from my perspective
Step 1 it should be possible to send these alerts via SNMP
Step 2 Add alerts as per below and make thresholds customisable in the GUI

    VM Backup Failed
    VM Backup Partial
    VM Backup Succeeded
    Replication Failed
    Replication Partial
    Replication Succeeded
    VM Restore Failed
    VM Restore Succeeded
    Job Failed
    Job Partial
    Job Succeeded
Job overrunning backup window - Set backup window and also enable ability to cancel job based on it overrunning
System Low Disk Space - set %
vSnap Storage Space Low - set %
System Memory Low - set %
System CPU usage high - set %
Raise alert if daily change is higher than a set % (this can act as a ransomware detection tool - is what many are selling as)
