So I have to wait 35 days for it to fall off? This sounds like a feature that needs changed. I have many customers that request they want specific VM's and data deleted and I dont want it to affect other snapshots. Sounds like it is a feature request or fix.

Yes, when you remove a VM from an SLA, I don't think you would want that to force all backups versions to be removed. You cannot remove or delete backup versions for a specific VM.
But you can go into Catlalog -> Retention, search for the SLA that contains the VM and selectively expire the snapshots for that SLA. But keep in mind this means you are also removing backup versions for all VM's in that SLA for the specific snapshot date/time.
