Schedule options filed enhancement to store more virtual machine names

When using the new frontend for TSM for VE for creating a scheduled backup the frontend uses the options filed to store necessary parameters like: Options: -vmfulltype=vstor -vmbackuptype=fullvm -asnodename=DC_BERLIN -domain.vmfull="VM=vm_name1,vm_name2_vm_name3,..." -MODE=INCRemental
The options field is limited to 512 characters. If you try to define a schedule for a lot of vm's the process ends with failure. The virtual machine name is limited to 256 characters. If I use the full capacity supported by VMWare I need a schedule for each virtual machine. If possible enhance the column storing the options field to store a lot more characters (long_varchar).

    Due to processing by IBM, this request was reassigned to have the following updated attributes:
    Brand - Servers and Systems Software
    Product family - Storage
    Product - Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM) Family

    For recording keeping, the previous attributes were:
    Brand - Tivoli
    Product family - Storage
    Product - Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM) Family

    We will not be implementing a solution as suggested in the next year or two. However, we do find this to be related to another request for enhancement #33743 in what can be achieved with attribute tagging to relieve your pain points. We would recommend watching that RFE for delivery. If you would like your original request to be reconsidered after the next release of our product, please resubmit .

    Thank you for submitting this enhancement request, we do understand the requirement and the rationale behind it and will look into implementing this in a future release (please note that this is not a commitment to include this in a specific timeframe), we have also provided some ways of relief in the most recent release (6.4) where one can define schedules for host clusters and is able to exclude (or include) VM using wildards. This may help in same cases to avoid this 512 character limit by updating the dsm.opt file with something like: domain.vmfull=vmhostcluster=cluster1;vm=Dept10*;
