SAP HANA backup status reporting in Spectrum Protect OC

Spectrum Protect Operations Center does not report nor is aware if a Backup is successful or if it is failed. Instead a log is created on every server which we have to manually parse and reactively report a backup failure. This is an effort since we had to create custom scripts in order to do so. Additionally since scripting is involved, we cannot guarantee that this is a valid solution (eg. The Logs contain only backup failures. Cases where the backup did not start is not logged) . This is a possible impact on the service. Currently, it is technically not possible to obtain the backup status in the TDP and thus it is not possible for the TDP to forward it to the Spectrum Protect Operations Center. Other vendors ie Netbackup already support this. We should enhance the OC to become really the central point of administration and reporting for Spectrum Protect)

    This request may not be delivered within the release currently under development, but the theme is aligned with the current multi-year strategy. IBM may consider and evaluate any RFE Community feedback for this request through activities such as voting. IBM will update this request in the future.
