HSM client must destroy orphaned DM sessions of all its processes

The Tivoli HSM client (aka TSM for Space Management) must clean up orphaned DM sessions of all its processes.
Currently, only certain daemon processes do this. However, most of the commands - e.g. dsmdf, dsmmigrate, dsmreconcile... - open DM sessions as well.
If a command is abruptly terminated (SIGKILL, forced reboot or similar), the DM session continues to exist. The HSM client has no instance to remove such orphaned DM sessions.
This RFE requests an additional function in an existing HSM daemon (e.g. dsmwatchd) or an extra daemon to recognize and destroy orphaned HSM client DM sessions.

At minimum, the HSM client should contain a utility to remove its leftover DM sessions from a given node. The utility may even assume that it is only called when HSM activities are stopped.

Due to processing by IBM, this request was reassigned to have the following updated attributes:
Brand - Servers and Systems Software
    Product family - Storage
Product - Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM) Family

For recording keeping, the previous attributes were:
    Brand - Tivoli
    Product family - Storage
Product - Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM) Family

Several improvements in this area have been made in TSM 6.3 and 7.1 which should resolved this issue for HSM customers. Final improvements will be addressed as a defect fix.
