Reorg of the container files

Because we must delete 800.000.000 million orphaned chucks on two TSM servers there is coming many free storage in the container files but all the filesystems are 97% filled. If we can do a reorg then the filesystems can we schrink.

Similar comment as G-Lynch: now that I have deleted several TB of orphaned chunks, I cannot shrink the size of the storage pool to be able to reallocate the storage elsewhere.

We have a similar issue where the amount of backup data stored in TSM has been reduced but we can't reclaim any of the disk capacity as 2 nearly empty directory containers can't be merged to reduce the file system usage.

The function of move data on tape allowed for objects to be moved onto semi-full (filling) existing volumes. The move data on containers creates a new container of the same size and doesn't allow for any way to reduce the number of containers.

This request may not be delivered within the release currently under development, but the theme is aligned with the current multi-year strategy. IBM may consider and evaluate any RFE Community feedback for this request through activities such as voting. IBM will update this request in the future.
